Horsham Wimmera River Walk
A sealed 4.5km loop along both banks of the Wimmera River in central Horsham — accessible, pram-friendly, with three bridge crossings, the Horsham Botanic Gardens, and the city’s best public art.

The route
Start at the VIC. Walk south along the river through Sawyer Park. Cross the river at the Pynsent Street bridge. Loop back along the south bank to the Botanic Gardens, then cross again at the rail bridge to return to the VIC.
What you see
River red gums, public art installations, water birds, the heritage rail bridge, the Botanic Gardens (open daily), and the Sawyer Park sound shell where summer concerts run.
Facilities
Public toilets at the VIC and at the Botanic Gardens café. Accessible facilities at both. Sawyer Park has shaded picnic areas and a kids’ play zone.
