The Kaniva Sheep Art Trail — a self-guided 800m through-town walk where local artists have hidden dozens of life-sized fibreglass sheep on shop verandas, post office forecourts and town corners. A treasure hunt for kids; a delight for everyone else.

The route
Pick up the Sheep Art Trail map at the VIC (free). Walk west along Commercial Street, then north on Madden, looping back via the southern side. Each sheep has a number and a name.
What you see
Painted sheep tucked under verandas, peeking out of shop windows, sitting outside the post office, and one famously perched on the rotunda. The map names every sheep.
