The Stringybark Loop — 4.5km flat loop through one of the prettier sections of Little Desert National Park. Wildflowers in season, malleefowl mound territory, suitable for kids and most fitness levels.

The track

Sandy track through stringybark forest and mallee. Clearly signed and flat throughout. Several short interpretive panels on malleefowl behaviour and the local flora.

What you see

Wildflowers August through October — billy buttons, mallee orchids, fringe-lilies. Year-round: emus, kangaroos, plenty of small birds. Malleefowl mounds in the area; do not approach.
