Day 1 — Adelaide to Kaniva (320km, 3hr 30min)

East on the Dukes/Western Highway. Cross into Victoria at Serviceton. Late lunch at Kaniva — Raine’s Café. Afternoon at the Sheep Art Trail walk (800m self-guided). Visit the Kaniva VIC. Sleep Kaniva.

Day 2 — Kaniva to Horsham via Edenhope (250km)

South to Goroke (15 min stop, bakery), then Edenhope. Tour the 1878 Courthouse Information Centre and Lake Wallace’s 1868 Aboriginal cricket team memorial. Lunch Edenhope. Drive north via Apsley to Horsham. Sleep Horsham.

Day 3 — Horsham, Murtoa, Wartook (170km)

Morning: Murtoa Stick Shed (30 min east of Horsham — heritage-listed cathedral-style WWII grain storage). Lunch back in Horsham. Afternoon: drive 35 min east to Wartook Valley; McKenzie Falls Bluff Lookout. Sleep Wartook or back in Horsham.

Day 4 — Wartook to Sea Lake via the silos (260km)

Long day. North via Warracknabeal to Brim, Sheep Hills, Rosebery, Patchewollock. Lunch in Patchewollock or Hopetoun. Continue east to Sea Lake for sunset at Lake Tyrrell. Sleep Sea Lake.

Day 5 — Sea Lake to Melbourne (430km, 4hr 30min)

Sunrise option at Lake Tyrrell. Drive south via Wycheproof, Charlton, Bendigo to Melbourne.
