The track
Most visitors drive the sealed road to the summit lookout and stop there. The Pinnacle walk extends beyond — a marked track climbing through sandstone gullies to a higher rock-pavilion summit. Some scrambling required.
What you see
Climbers on the cliff faces directly below — Arapiles hosts hundreds of named climbing routes. The Wimmera plain to the east stretches uninterrupted to Horsham. The Grampians range to the south is the headline view.
Safety
Stay back from cliff edges. The sandstone is grippy when dry; do not attempt in rain. Mobile reception is intermittent on the upper plateau.
What to bring
2L water, sun protection, closed shoes, camera.
