Mt Wycheproof Summit Walk (World’s Smallest Mountain)

The track
A sealed walking path climbs gently from the car park to the summit. The path is suitable for most ages and abilities, though not formally wheelchair accessible due to the gradient. The summit has a viewing platform and the official world-record plaque.
What you see
Flat farmland in every direction — and that is precisely the point. The novelty is the absurdity: a registered mountain that 12-year-olds can run up in 5 minutes.
The King of the Mountain race
Each October, locals run the 1km route carrying a 60kg bag of wheat on their shoulders. The fastest finishers do it in under 3 minutes. Worth attending if you’re in the area.
