Briggs Bluff — 9km return with the best sandstone scrambling in the Grampians and a panoramic ridge view that few weekenders ever see. Hard day hike. Closed shoes mandatory.

The track
Shares the Beehive Falls trailhead. After Beehive Falls at 1.4km, the track climbs steeply through forest and onto open sandstone. The ridge walking is the highlight — long sandstone slabs marked with yellow paint dots. The Bluff is a flat rock pavilion with sheer drops on the north and west sides.
The views
North across the Wartook Valley and onto the silo country; east into the heart of the Grampians; west to Mt Arapiles. Spectacular.
Safety
Significant cliff exposure on the summit. Stay back from the edge. Do not attempt in rain. Carry full water.
