Mt Zero northern walk — 2.6km return through sandstone country at the very top of the Grampians, with views over Mt Stapylton and the western plains. Less crowded than Hollow Mountain; similar character.

The track
Sandstone slab walking with yellow-arrow route markers. Some scrambling. The summit gives strong views back toward Stapylton and over Mt Zero Olives’ grove.
Combine with
Mt Zero Olives cellar door is 5 minutes’ drive from the trailhead. Pair the hike with a tasting at the grove for a full afternoon.

2L water, sun protection, closed shoes.
